After spending many months patiently working on adding new features, we feel that the updated myITforum Code Repository database is finally ready for release.
For those of you who were aware that the myITforum Code Repository database was being updated, your long wait is now over. For everyone else, we hope this update comes as a nice surprise. This is a major update to the database which was originally posted by Rod Trent in his Organizing Your Scripts article.
Believing that the saying "A picture is worth a thousand words" is applicable here, we will try to keep this article brief. If you need more assistance than that which is provided here, extended instructions are available on the Help page of the database. Oh, I appologize if the pics caused any grief. They help to illustrate the database features.
Below is a screen shot of the main page of the database.

This database has been tested on a combination of Windows NT 4.0, 2000, and XP running Access 2000 and above.
If you are required to run this on a PC that does NOT have Access 2000 (or higher), then please email scriptingdb@yahoo.com and ask for the Access Run-Time version.
We left the database unlocked so the look and feel of the database can be customized. Depending on the demands of the end users, we anticipate releasing updated versions of this database. With the ability to export only the code that you have added, you can easily stay up to date with new releases.
Please send an email to scriptingdb@yahoo.com if you have any questions, suggestions, feature requests, want to contribute code, or want to provide some general feedback. We will look into implementing user requests in future releases of the database. We encourage anyone to provide us with feedback so we can create a database that will benefit everyone.
In developing this database, we have attempted to adhere to common practice guidelines as outlined in various resources. Therefore, we hope that you not only find this database to be a useful resource for storing your code, but also as an example for your database development needs.
A few quotes from some beta testers:“Ron, the more I play with this, the more I think it’s ready for prime time. This is just simply awesome!” – Rod Trent “The Code Repository database is one of those products that make you say, "Why didn't somebody do that sooner?" As an avid newsgroup and discussion list subscriber, I am forever finding scripts and scriptlets which solve a problem I am encountering or I think looks like a neat way to do something. What I did in the past was save the topic or email then, when I needed it, I had to hunt all over to find it. Not anymore! I just take the time to copy the script into Code Repository, fill in a few lines and keywords, and when I need it, I just have one place to look. This is a very professional looking and handy tool. Thanks Ron!” -- Reed Porter “I can see where this may well become a great tool that could be used as a single, manageable, repository for (dare I say it??) all of one’s collective work!” - Ed Aldrich Download:
