The Deep Field images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope represent the farthest we've ever seen into the universe.

In 1995 and again in 2003, the Hubble Space Telescope stared for a little over 11 days at a rather unremarkable section of sky. Parts of the sky the width of a dime 75 feet away were intensely photographed. The results were amazing: Over 10,000 galaxies were observed. The Deep Field/Ultra Deep field images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope represent the farthest we've ever seen into the universe.
