What Are The Key Benefits Of Sunbelt Exchange Archiver?
According to the Radicati Group, the average corporate email account receives 18 megabytes of email and attachments each business day, and that figure is projected to grow to 28 megabytes a day by 2011. Osterman Research found in a recent survey that the average email user sends and receives 140 emails each workday. Let's have a look at the key benefits you and your organization get when you archive Exchange messages with Sunbelt Exchange Archiver:
    • Meet compliance and legal readiness requirements (ready to sue or get sued).
    • An 80% smaller message store means enormous benefits: better performance, faster backups / easier restore, and archiving prevents having to buy more Exchange servers.
    • Give your users self-service to recover their own 'lost email' and an 'unlimited' mailbox size, (eliminating pesky quotas), while you control message storage growth.
    • You can find, import and eradicate all existing PST files
    • End-users will love you, as the full-text search (included) saves them so much time!

Which products does SEA best compares with?
SEA V3.0 has features at the level of Symantec Enterprise Vault V7.0 and Quest Archive Manager V3.0, but with some additional unique features. SEA pricing is much more reasonable however, and geared toward small and medium business. Make no mistake though, you can start with 50 mailboxes, but SEA effortlessly scales up to 100,000+ mailboxes if needed! We have SEA compared with Symantec Enterprise Vault, Quest Archive Manager, GFI MailArchiver, Zantaz, Mimosa, and EMC EmailXtender. Additionally, SEA is significantly more cost-effective than hosted archiving which costs around $50 per mailbox per year!

SEA provides you the choice of using Journaling, or for smaller sites, our unique Direct Exchange Archiving feature. Direct Exchange Archiving is a significant breakthrough in efficient email archiving which eliminates the need for the Exchange Journal mailbox. Immediate archiving onto storage media improves the performance of the Exchange server, helps to ensure legal compliance, and diminishes the necessity to apply scheduler, threshold and quota archiving jobs.

Sunbelt Exchange Archiver: Your End-users Dream
The only change your user might notice would be the optional presence of a plug-in that blends into the toolbar in their MS Outlook, the rest is business as usual. A simple double-click brings up the email and attachments. Messages can be searched, edited, forwarded, moved to other folders or deleted. When an archived mail is deleted the link in MS Exchange is also removed. The email stays in the archive and can be retrieved and restored at any time by your end-user.

    Full-text search, also in Attachments!
The user can start a Full-text search the moment an email is archived. The Full-text search can be activated via the MS Outlook toolbar. All available attachments are also searched for in the archive. By using this powerful SEA feature, the user can initiate a Full-text search in attachments to also find emails that would have been otherwise irretrievably lost. This feature is of immense importance in legal cases.

The Administrator Can Lean Back & Relax
The target of SEA is to automate the archiving of both standard and special email formats with a simple configuration. The SEA Enterprise Manager takes care of the many archiving jobs with an intuitive, centralized console. Additional tools such as the PST File-importer and Media administrator reduce the daily backup of the MS Exchange Store by up to 80%.

SEA continuously checks which archiving rule should be applied to each email saved in the Exchange Store. SEA extracts an email which is ready to be archived from the Exchange Store and replaces it with a link. This link is stored in a relational database (ORACLE or MS-SQL Server) and serves as a reference to the new location in the archiving medium.

Emails are split and archived as separate contents (body text and attachments). The 'Single Instance Storage' ensures that emails and attachments are only archived once. The SEA Container Storage helps avoid data compression and the unnecessary fragmentation of storage media.

That walkthrough will allow you to ask all the questions you have regarding your own environment, and understand the technical requirements. You can also get the Sunbelt Exchange Archiver Installation Guide in the Documents section. The installation requires a bit of time, but day-to-day management of SEA is very admin-friendly. This is an industry-strength, robust, reliable, admin-friendly, user-friendly, award-winning exchange archiving product, at an extremely affordable price!
