Hi All,

Sometimes these Flashes come rapidly after one another when
hot news becomes available, but normally you do not hear
from us more than once a week at the most ;-)

SP5 is officially out! First of all I suggest to have a look
at the SP5 readme.txt, so you do not have to download a 32Meg
file. That will answer a lot of your questions right away.

I just checked it, worked at 09:30pm Eastern Time. It has both 40-
and 128bit encryption versions available.

The location I published yesterday is definitely not the final
version. This was a Release Candidate, and was not given out as
it still had a bug in it. It means that if you downloaded it, you'll
have to grab the real SP5 again by now. A Release Candidate might
still have some problems attached with it, so better get the FULL
version that is now available.

In short, the SP5 is a combination of a series of hotfixes and
can be split in several groups: printer and print spooler bugs,
memory leaks (what else is new), security vulnerabilities, user-mode
(access violation) and kernel mode (stop code) failures and RRAS
problems. It also contains some Y2K updates.

SP5 is really a Service Pack, no major new features, just a bunch
of patches, meaning for us simply less hotfixes to keep track of.
They said they would do it, and this _does_ make life a bit easier.

2) GET FREE T-Shirt AT NetWorld+Interop

If you are only backing up your critical data just once a night,
NSI Software in conjunction with Microsoft, Compaq, and Hewlett
Packard invite you to see their HIGH AVAILABILITY and DISASTER
RECOVERY presentations at this years NETWORLD+INTEROP '99 in Las
Vegas, NV (May 11-13).

Presentations on NSI Software's award winning application Double-
Take will be given in the Microsoft Partner Pavilion, Compaq Booth,
and in the Hewlett Packard Booth. Stop by one of these locations
and ask any NSI rep for your free "When once a night just isn't
enough" T-shirt.

Can't make it to the show? Grab the 30-day eval and test it out
http://www.sunbelt-software.com/dtake.htm (if you decide to buy
we'll throw the T-shirt in . )

3) Boy, you guys _really_ downloaded NetOp in droves!
Here are all the new features for V6.0 grouped together

We have had 2,000 downloads of NetOp the last two days, WOW.
That meant our T1 was maxed out and this week we are doubling
our capacity. If your download timed out, please retry tomorrow
and you'll see it is faster. To help you save some time, we got
all the new features in V6.0 together in one page. NetOp _really_
is a true gem. If you have not looked at it after you downloaded,
you really should install it right away. Check out these killer
features: http://www.sunbelt-software.com/Netpv6feature.htm

That's all for this NewsFlash. See you next weekend!

Warm regards,

Stu Sjouwerman
