1) MICROSOFT TO ANNOUNCE WIN2K AT COMDEX !?

One of the magazines I read, COMPUTER RESELLER NEWS just reported
something very interesting. Looks like Win2K is coming soon after 
all at Comdex/Fall in November. (This is a good site by the way,
they are at http://www.crn.com/ ) 

Microsoft will announce the release to manufacturing (RTM) of 
Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 
Advanced Server for November. That means that most of us will
get our hot little hands on it as a Christmas present.

Looks like this timing is just about right. It gives us some time
to play with it while we wait to see if the Y2K roll-over is 
moving as planned. When that is behind us we can start to think 
about slowly implementing Win2K. 

All the big 8-way servers from IBM, Compaq and Dell are going to
be released at roughly the same time and they are all busy to
get their drivers ready for the new platform.

I spent some time roaming around there, and found it to be
a pretty complete site. I got in touch with them and asked
