The Constancy and Cost of Change
IDG states that "47% Lost in Change Management - Senior IT managers at large
companies name the changing culture around managing data as their top challenge
for organizing information."
Nothing is more constant than change. And, change costs both time and money. In
the busy lives of IT staff, saving time by eliminating redundant tasks and
doing it securely and accurately is nirvana. Users of Microsoft Exchange as a
production email system find that managing groups, controlling access to
systems, information and other resources, employee turnover and inactivity,
provisioning users, all tasks that usurp hour upon hour and often get set
aside for more urgent issues.
Serious security issues faced in an organization such as out of date
information impair the level of security access to Active Directory.
Authorization and authentication are just two of the security issues to address
in managing the data in Active Directory.
Reduction in force, reorgs, mergers and acquisitions all present painful, time
consuming challenges to IT. Change of any type is disruptive and in business,
things change dynamically on a regular basis. An organized approach is
paramount and the more these functions can be automated the more secure and
timely they are handled.
How to reduce the time and expense invested in the myriad of tasks is the
automation found in various solutions available today. They are available from
the most simplistic to the robust solution. Investing in a management solution
for Active Directory would reduce overall time spent on manual tasks thus
freeing up precious time for more strategic endeavors.
Safe and smooth change management brings business and IT together, for in
actuality, they have the same bottom line success goals for their company.

Triple Support Without Increasing Staff
Enable end User password resets with myPassword. How many password reset
requests does your help desk receive per work day? 20, 50, more than 100? How
many after hours? Experts say that more than 40% of help desk requests pertain
to password issues, costing between $30-$60 per call. Factor in new employees,
security requirements, and password management can overwhelm your help desk
team. You can automatically reduce help desk workload with myPassword and
drive user productivity by quickly restoring access without increasing costly
overhead.

Put real power into your Active Directory Administration!
Some AD tasks are a snap, like changing a user’s street address. Something this
simple just takes a minute, right? Now try changing the street address for each
user in an entire division and you’re canceling your plans-again. That’s why
you need mPowerTools. You can use the "Search and Replace" tool to change
multiple user attributes in a single action. Or, you can use the Custom Tools
wizard to deliver tools, and tasks directly to your team. The tools streamline
the execution of common admin tasks, giving you the time you need for other
directory initiatives... or maybe just keeping those plans!
